This man-made cave, built 70 feet below ground, was originally created as office space for geologist and former owner, Bruce Black. Kokopelli's Cave is now a 1700 square foot overnight destination built into the vertical cliffs of Tertiary Ojo Alamo Sandstone. The small cave consists of a master bedroom, living area, replica Native American kiva, dining area, full kitchen and a bathroom with a waterfall shower and Jacuzzi tub. The entrance is located near the cliff face and is reached by walking down a sloping path and steps. Except for the bedroom and bathroom, all rooms are located around a large central sandstone pillar. From the Cave and the cliff tops, guests can enjoy an unparalleled view of the beautiful southwest sunsets over the La Plata River valley and the four states of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado that make up America’s Four Corners.
